Temp Wishes is the new project from Josh Chicoine (The M's, Cloudbirds, Cult Canyon), Edward Anderson (1900s, Mazes), and Colby Starck (Mar Caribe, Bobby Conn). It is lo-fi psych pop, and songs are concise with sticky melodies, harmonies, and grooves. Flash Fantasy is the first single released from their forthcoming LP and this show is their first live performance, with Glenn Rischke on keys and backing vocals.

Quasar Wut-Wut's path to indie artpop eclecticism started in a basement in Metro Detroit in the early 1990s — a band of 15 year-olds trying to sound like their heroes Robert Smith, Johnny Marr and Black Francis without being too obvious. After saving up their lawn-mowing money for a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder, they felt they'd made it. Their lo-fi tape experiments culminated in 1998's Jalopy album — with its accompanying music film "Wunderbra" — and sparked bigger shows in the Detroit and Ann Arbor scenes opening for other eccentric acts like Apples In Stereo.
After moving Quasar Wut-Wut to Chicago in 1999, Matt Schwarz (guitar, vocals), Brent Sulek (guitar, vocals), and Jordan Frank (bass) settled into the indie scene with 2004's widescreen Taro Sound LP. They then finished construction of their own Coupon Studios and focused on new scores for silent films, like Buster Keaton's The General, and the recent team-up with Chicago Film Archives to score the long-lost silent feature The First Degree. Calendar year 2026 finds Matt, Brent and Jordan putting the finishing touches on an alternate reality stock music library/video series called HottFaxx and recording the principle tracks for an untitled follow-up to 2019's Digesting Mirror LP.
