Since making their live debut in 2022, Country Risqué has become something of a San Francisco queer country institution. Singer-songwriters Miles Gordon and Daniel Bromfield first met in Eugene, Oregon nearly a decade before forming the band, and after passing around songwriting ideas during the pandemic, they reconvened in San Francisco and formed a honky-tonk band centered around the coffee-and-chocolate contrast of Gordon’s rich, formally trained vocals and Bromfield’s languid deadpan. As the band has developed, its sound has progressed from a classic ‘50s-influenced country style to a rougher and more electrified sound inspired by alt-country, heartland rock and the rugged landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.
Country Risqué released their debut album Doe-Eyed Loverboys and Saints in 2024 through Rocks in Your Head Records before signing with Nudie Records for As the Crow Flies, out October 23rd 2026. In addition to Gordon on vocals and rhythm guitar and Bromfield on vocals and keyboards, the band currently features Richard Moog on lead guitar, Sarah Parker on bass and Chris Kenyon on drums.
Dinner Date (formerly knows as Secret Secret) has heart that radiates through their collaborative songwriting voice. Life-long friends born and raised in San Francisco, their sound dances between contemporary indie rock and post-punk. Their team-oriented nature is exemplified in four-part harmonies and engaging instrumentation.
Barfight is a Half Moon Bay based cosmic country rock band. Influenced by the sounds of yesteryear, while defying the guardrails of tradition, they sing songs of hope and ruin. With raw live energy they bring a fresh take to a well travelled path.
Tom Conneely & Birds of Paradise are a San Francisco based band that released their first record “Cappuccino Springs” in the fall of 2023. The Birds followed up with the home-recorded “Sun Child” less than a year later, and has toured throughout the west coast, from Los Angeles to Portland to Boise and many places in between, including a recent performance at Offbeat Festival in Reno. The Birds are led in collaboration between guitarist and vocalist Tom Conneely and bassist Alois Cerbu, home-recording and engineering both “Sun Child” and their March 2025 album “New Kind Palace.” Their next record “Water Horse” will be released in the Spring of 2026 on Only One on the Mountain.
