About Marissa Carr

Marissa Carr, better known as Ris, a native of Norfolk, Nebraska, currently residing in Lincoln, NE, is a dynamic performer and dedicated arts educator known for her work in music, theater, cheerleading, and community engagement. She earned statewide recognition as the Nebraska State Poetry Champion in 2018. She began her solo musical career in August 2024 and has set the musical scene ablaze.
Ris has been an active artist with releasing her debut EP, Lover Girl, in the first quarter of 2025. She has been able to garner the support from fellow and features from Eddie North, Marcey Yates, Kaelin Ellis, and Westside Boogie. From performing at Afro Fest Omaha and Nashville, Juneteenth Joy Fest, RnB Route Atlanta, and more, she has proven to be a talent to watch. Her hard work and dedication have inspired many artists in the community to keep working at their craft no matter how long it takes.
Carr continued her artistic journey at Northeast Community College, where she took on lead roles in several theater productions, including her standout performance as CC in The Taxi Cabaret as well as playing Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors. Her talent and versatility on stage are matched by her passion for arts education. She has led workshops in acting and costume design for young students through the college’s Drama Club, helping foster the next generation of performers
In addition to her work on stage, Carr has shared her vocal expertise through private lessons at Midwest Music Center and has since then become a Singer/Songwriter for her own music. Her commitment to creativity, mentorship, and community service makes her a powerful voice in Nebraska’s cultural landscape.
Additionally, Ris has been nominated for “Best New Artist” at the 2026 Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards, with many more awards and recognitions to come in the near and distant future.

Ria Gold is an Omaha-based R&B singer-songwriter known for soulful vocals, heartfelt storytelling and songs that feel like late night conversations.
Originally from Ohio, Ria has been writing songs since childhood, transforming early poetry into the emotionally colorful, honest sound that has become her signature. Her vocals and songwriting can also be heard on J. Stone and DJ Drama’s “Gettin Richer.”
Her musical journey has led her from performing on stages including Bourbon Theatre and Lincoln Calling to becoming a familiar face in Omaha’s local music scene as the host of karaoke nights at Reno’s.
Blending modern R&B with alternative influences, Ria creates music that invites listeners into stories of love, life’s “not-so-proud” moments and self-discovery.

Krissy Veasley, better known as Krissyontheinternet (KOTI), is an illustrious if not allusive up and coming artist in Omaha, NE. Krissy, 24, is a Denver native whose pension for music is generational, inherited from her father, who inspired her to pursue music professionally. Her music blends elements of jazz, neo-soul, and hip-hop. A little bit of new with the old creating a sound that’s uniquely her own.
