Oakwood is an emo band from Texas. Formed in 2013, the trio—comprised of Mat, Noah, and TJ—found accidental success when their decade-old releases began gaining traction online, eventually leading to a fully sold out tour in 2025. Recorded by Phil Odom (Glare, Militarie Gun) and mastered by Grammy Award winner Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight), their upcoming record, Blurred Away, turns grief and emotional dread into something deeply cathartic, drawing heavily from the melodic energy of Algernon Cadwallader, Jimmy Eat World, Title Fight, and Jets to Brazil.
