Two-time Grammy Award–winning artist Terrance Simien brings more than 40 years of powerful, high-energy performances rooted in Black American zydeco traditions. An eighth-generation Louisianamulticultural Creole, Simien blends infectious rhythms, astonishing soulful vocals, and deep cultural storytelling into shows that move audiences across generations and borders. Leading a dynamic intergenerational band of veteran masters and rising Gen Z musicians, Simien delivers a live experience that honors tradition while pushing the music forward—making every performance both a celebration and a cultural statement.
Simien leads a highly skilled Zydeco Experience band with long time band - mates and creative collaborator: Danny Williams (30+ years, two-GRAMMY award winning), keyboards, vocals and Stan Chambers (15+ years, GRAMMY award winning), bass, vocals. With: Ian Molinaro – Thompson (Berklee College of Music), drums; Noah Boshra (Tulane), saxophone and Robbie Wallace (Loyola), trombone.
