Interstate jammers LaMP—featuring Russ Lawton (drums), Ray Paczkowski (keys), and Scott Metzger (guitar)—distill road-honed improv instincts as seen with their time with Trey Anastasio Band (TAB) and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD) into taut, instrumental epics. The trio has hewn their own path behind their latest release, One Of Us, with kaleidoscopic interplay and club-shifting grooves, serving as a pure distillation of the LaMP sound and a mission statement of improvisational group-think.
