Born in the subway stations of Oakland, The California Honeydrops have built their reputation by turning every room they enter into a full-blown celebration. Their sound pulls from vintage soul, New Orleans R&B, funk, blues, gospel and roots music, all tied together with booming horns, deep grooves and the kind of joyful energy that refuses to let anybody stand still.
This is not a hit-play-and-run-through-the-set kind of band.
