But Charleston Beer Fest is about more than great beer.
This event is the primary fundraiser for Palmetto Community Care, a local nonprofit that has spent nearly 34 years providing compassionate care and critical support to people living with HIV and AIDS in our community. From busting myths and breaking down barriers to expanding access to testing, prevention, and education, Palmetto Community Care works every day toward ending the HIV epidemic.

Our case managers had 23,000+ client contacts
We helped 541 people find stable housing
583 clients accessed oral or primary health care
558 individuals received emergency financial assistance and food bank–delivered meals
We paid $6.5 million for life-saving medications
And $1.9 million to provide health insurance for our clients
