Dylan Ryan has drummed with such groups as Red Krayola, Herculaneum, and Icy Demons, frequenting the bandstand and recording studio alongside artists like Bitchin Bajas, Jeff Parker, Patrick Shiroishi, Daniel Carter, and Paul Flaherty, while releasing recordings under his own name on the Cuneiform Records and Ears & Eyes imprints.
He has performed at the New York City Winter Jazz Fest, Massey Hall, Pritzker Pavilion, REDCAT Theatre, David Lynch’s Silencio, and the Getty Center. Ryan has been featured twice in works by the multidisciplinary artist Doug Aitken; ‘Black Mirror’, a multi form video installation projected on a barge off the island of Hydra, and the New York Times Style Magazine’s feature on Aitken’s home as a musical experience in ‘acid modernism’.
For this performance Ryan's quartet features Mai Sugimoto, Nick Macri, and Jason Adasiewicz performing 2 sets of new music with smattering of older material from the discography.
