WATCH: Garrison Starr, "Oh My Soul"
Garrison Starr is the quintessential musical triple-threat; singer, songwriter, Grammy-nominated record producer. Her soon-to-be-released latest full-length album, Garrison Starr and The Gospel Truth, reveals her at the height of her powers.
Starr calls the new collection of songs, “Swamp Gospel Hymns for Humans”, the next chapter in her story of recovery and healing from her Evangelical Christian upbringing. Her previous album, "Girl I Used To Be”, released during the pandemic in March 2021, launched her exploration of deconstruction on the path towards self-love and forgiveness. “Girl I Used To Be” is the story of saying goodbye to what was, and "The Gospel Truth" is the story of the journey over the bridge to freedom.
Starr has been releasing singles from the new record over the last several months, following a number of TV placements on Monarch, Bull, and most recently, Walker: Independence. This is a consistent pattern for Starr throughout her career. Starr is a celebrated singer of such remarkable reputation that music icons go out of their way to praise her.
Glen Phillips declares, “Garrison’s voice goes straight to the gut. She reminds you of what it means to be human.”
Mary Chapin Carpenter adds, “She just writes and sings her heart out. In the American Idolized landscape that constitutes today’s music business, she is someone to be thankful for.”
Her frequent collaborations with other artists have been both in the studio and on stage. Starr has toured with the likes of Steve Earle, Jason Isbell, Emmylou Harris, Bruce Cockburn, Patty Griffin, Mindy Smith, Glen Phillips, and The Indigo Girls, just to name a few, logging hundreds of thousands of touring miles across the country and around the world.
And Garrison was recently featured as a new performer at the iconic Newport Folk Festival in 2025.
Kristy Lee isn’t just a performer—she’s a weather system. With a voice that can hush a room one moment and shake the walls the next, she’s built a reputation for leaving audiences both wrung out and lit up. Born on the Gulf Coast and raised on grit, gospel, and a fierce streak of independence, Kristy’s songs carry the salt of the sea and the smoke of late-night dives.
On stage, she’s all-in, every time—no half measures, no autopilot. Every show feels like the most important one yet, because in her world, it is. Whether she’s commanding a festival stage, breaking hearts in a packed listening room, or turning a living room into a sanctuary, Kristy delivers music the way it was meant to be felt: raw, soulful, and unforgettable.
She’s shared stages and stories with an eclectic range of artists, defied easy categorization, and carried her sound across state lines and oceans alike. But the through-line is always the same: connection, truth, and the electricity that happens when a song finds its mark.
The next time you see Kristy Lee, you might just walk away believing you’ve witnessed the greatest show of her life—until the next one.
