HAUGA is a dance duet wherein two people put together an IKEA table. Throughout the work a simple task becomes something much more complicated, reflecting the precarious navigation of a zero-sum economic system. When instructions prove unhelpful and materials are insufficient, two dancers must figure out a balance as personal friends, professional competition, and two individuals trying to find an ethical way forward.
SARA WAGENMAKER is a movement artist and jack of all trades from the West Side of Chicago. Her creative work relies on deep curiosity and meticulous research to poke at the world around her and figure out what makes it go.
