Maria Elena Silva’s music is unapologetic. Her writing shows her roots in rock n’ roll, flamenco and the romantic, the fabric of the work giving palpable hints to her experimental aspirations that make borderline frantic use of the world-class instrumentalists at her disposal. One minute you're hanging on every syllable of Silva's vocals and the next minute you're flying into the clouds on one of the many outlandish guitar lines either played by herself or one of her notably talented guitar collaborators (Jeff Parker, Marc Ribot). Silva performs regularly in Chicago with various ensembles; her quintet features pianist Erez Dessel, bassist Tyler Wagner, saxophonist Garrett Frees and drummer Scott Dean Taylor.

Kendall Wohaska is a DC based improviser and guitarist whose work lives within the idiomatic tradition of Jazz, Country and Folk as well as Free improvisation.
His current project, Cloudsplitter, draws these elements together in an homage to the Midwest and American folk and country traditions and attempts to view the inhale and exhale of the Great Plains, it's influence and isolation from the coasts, and the voices that drew breath and exploded out of it from Bob Wills to John Brown to Muhal Richard Abrams.
Kendall has shared the stage with the likes of Mike Unruh, Allison Miller, Matt Wilson, George Garzone, and Ulysses Owens Jr, Chris Brydge and Maria Elena Silva. he is joined by Local luminaries Scott Dean Taylor and Andrew Scott Young."
