Nicky Diamonds is an Afro-Indigenous country-roots and blues musician from San Antonio, Texas, currently based in Nashville. Drawing inspiration from old hymn books and family history, his songwriting carries the voices, stories, and spirit of his ancestors – delivered with grit, soul, and deep reverence for tradition.
Often touring solo with his 95-year-old Dobro (and occasionally joined by his band, The Deepcuts), Nicky keeps the roots of country and blues alive while giving them a captivating, modern edge. His music feels equally at home in a honky tonk or a juke joint – raw, intimate, and deeply felt.
Nicky’s upcoming delta blues album, recorded at Willie Nelson’s studio in Spicewood, Texas, is set for release in Spring 2025. If you’re lucky enough to catch him live, expect a powerful performance that lingers long after the last note – the kind of groove that sticks in your bones.
