A special night celebrating the records that helped turn Reverend Horton Heat into one of the most explosive live acts in American rock & roll.
REVEREND HORTON HEAT presents THE SUB POP YEARS brings the focus back to the band’s legendary early catalog and their years with Seattle’s own Sub Pop Records — including material from Smoke ’Em If You Got ’Em, The Full Custom Gospel Sounds of…, Liquor in the Front and more.
Led by Jim “Reverend Horton” Heath, Reverend Horton Heat has spent decades tearing up stages with a high-octane collision of rockabilly, punk, country, surf and straight-up rock & roll. The band’s early Sub Pop releases helped push rockabilly far outside the boundaries of traditional revivalism, pairing lightning-fast guitar work, upright bass and hard-driving drums with songs that were louder, faster and considerably more dangerous.
Now they’re digging back into that era for The Sub Pop Years.
If you’ve been waiting to hear the early Reverend Horton Heat material where it belongs — loud, live and right in front of you — this is the show.
