Ritmos Tropicosmos is a seven-piece psychedelic cumbia group from Oakland, creating heavy tropical rhythms with an emphasis on live percussion, synthesizers, and familial stories put into song. Together in a time-warped crossroads of electric and acoustic instrumentation, Ritmos Tropicosmos stands somewhere within the traditional rhythms of the past and the futuristic soundscapes of The Now.

Abracadabra
"The Oakland, California-based duo consists of Hannah Skelton (vocals, synthesizers) and Chris Niles (bass, synthesizers). Their second full-length album, shapes & colors (out on Manchester, UK indie label Melodic Records), is a unique and exciting collage of psychedelia, synthpop, funk, Baroque pop, and more. The grooves at times bring to mind early ‘80s dance-punk band ESG, and Skelton’s half-sung, half-spoken vocals recall Tom Tom Club. Despite the influences, the sound is all their own – and sure to ignite a dance party.” - David Hopper

Vinelands Live
Vinelands is a cross-genre exploration of the music of the Bay Area and Northern California, hosted by Kelley Stoltz and Gabriel Lopez, airing Saturday nights 6-9 PM Pacific on 92.7 FM and live-streaming via KEXP.ORG and the KEXP Apps exclusively in Northern California. The hosts will rotate bi-weekly, giving a broad perspective on local music from distinct points of view.
