Spirit of the Bear and Ramblewood perform live at Buffalo Iron Works on Saturday, January 9th, 2027!
Spirit of the Bear:
After forming in high school, SPIRIT OF THE BEAR quickly became one of the most fresh and exciting bands to emerge in the Northeast Ohio indie scene with their unique blend of indie rock and electronic sensibilities coupled with their affinity for pop songwriting. Spirit of the Bear’s years of musical experience are accentuated by their use of two keyboard players, which brings a unique depth to their sound. Their lifelong friendship also creates a magnetic chemistry onstage, making their live show just as exciting as their records. The band released their self-titled album in January of 2021, which was praised by Atwood Magazine as “Stunning and soaring…[the band] have outdone themselves on this expressive, uncompromising album,” and they are currently touring their new album AFFECTED BY LIGHT, which is currently only available as a physical release.
Additionally, the band has shared the stage with prominent acts such as Crowded House, Our Lady Peace, Ra Ra Riot, Robert DeLong, and Trash Panda, among others.
SPIRIT OF THE BEAR is composed of James Harker (vocals, guitar), Daniel Svenson, (keys, vocals), Ethan Schwendeman (keys), and Jamie Vitullo (drums). They have 2 cats and 3 dogs, collectively.
Ramblewood:
Ramblewood is an indie folk musician based in the heart of Ohio. Drawing inspiration from the scenic countryside and the vibrant music scene of the Midwest, Ramblewood's music is a mix of heartfelt lyrics, intricate guitar work, and soulful vocals. Growing up in a small town, Ramblewood's love for music began at an early age. His passion for playing the guitar led him to explore a variety of genres, from blues to bluegrass, before settling on the rootsy sound of folk music. With a voice that is both soothing and powerful, Ramblewood's music is a reflection of his own life experiences. His lyrics are honest and introspective, exploring themes of love, loss, and the human condition. Whether he's singing about the joy of a summer day or the pain of lost love, Ramblewood's music is always authentic and relatable. Ramblewood is poised to make a name for himself in the world of indie folk music. His music is a reminder that sometimes the simplest things in life - a beautiful melody, a well-crafted lyric, and a voice that speaks from the heart - are all that is needed to create something truly special.
