In 1971, Don Stephens, aka Stringman, heard a Neil Young bootleg album from a solo concert tour that took place one year prior to the release of Harvest in 1972. This concert bootleg had such a strong impact on Don that he dedicated himself to learning to play the guitar and piano and to persist in seeing where it might take him.
All these years later Don has written, recorded, and released 20 albums of his original music that are available on ALL online streaming services... SPOTIFY, YOUTUBE, ITUNES, APPLE MUSIC, and 150 other worldwide music platforms to positive reviews.
Don is a veteran musician from Indiana with '60s and '70s rock roots. Through the years his music is still strongly influenced by, and is often compared to, Neil Young in performance and song writing styles.
Although Stringman shows primarily feature original rock/blues/acoustic music, Don has decided to veer off the path and perform an all-acoustic show in honor of his “mentor” Neil Young featuring Neil’s classic songs from 1967 to 1978.
If you are a Neil Young fan, you do not want to miss this show, you might even want to wear your flannel shirt for this one…!
