San Leandro is a Denver-based psych-funk project led by keyboardist, songwriter, and producer Leandro “Leo” Albertoni. Blending the warmth of 1970s west coast r&b with the reflective edge of modern indie and singer/songwriter, San Leandro creates music that lives between introspection and motion. Albertoni’s writing pairs lyrically reflective themes with richly layered arrangements built on live rhythm-section chemistry and vintage keys. The band’s sound evokes artists like Neal Francis and Magic City Hippies, yet remains unmistakably its own: organic, melodic, and deeply human. Following a series of independently released singles, San Leandro is preparing its debut full-length album, Dive, a collection that explores renewal, illusion, and the search for personal conviction.
